Easter is for the Weary - Explore God

Easter is for the Weary Response Guide

Watch the Video

The campaign theme is “Easter Is for the Weary.” The big idea behind this is that Easter is not just for people who already have a strong faith, but is for people who are tired, confused, unsure, and feel like they have lost hope—God meets them right where they are. The ad campaign offers people a choice for their next step, or "Call to Action": Chat Now (to talk to a volunteer), Join the Easter Series (to receive daily emails), or Pray Now (a simple prayer).

Audience

This campaign is targeted to reach someone who is not a Christian and who feels like life is heavy. By choosing to "Talk to Someone Who Listens," they are taking their first small step toward hope.

As they click the button, they may feel a mix of weariness, curiosity, and fear, expressed through internal thoughts such as:

  • A Heavy Weight: They are exhausted from carrying their problems alone, thinking, “I hoped life would be different by now.”

  • Deep Confusion: They are struggling with the biggest barrier, “If God is good, why is there so much pain and suffering in the world?”

  • Cautious Curiosity: They are curious and open to a conversation, but deeply unsure what to believe or what to trust next. They are willing to look for hope but afraid of being wrong.

  • A Need for Peace: They are looking for a safe, non-judgmental space, hoping for the "Peace be with you" promised in the ad. They need presence and listening before they can handle any pressure or commitment.

The Seeker might also be a bit confused, not really knowing what they are signing up for as they give their email.

Suggested Questions

These questions are simple and direct, which is helpful for someone who may be new to the Christian faith or who speaks English as a second language. Ask one or two at a time to keep the conversation easy and focused.
